Disability Garden Services is a peer-led service committed to supporting and employing people living with a disability and delivering quality gardening services to people living with a disability or the aged.
We know that a person’s garden is a sanctuary for them. Being in nature helps us to maintain our wellness. We also know that people living with disabilities often struggle to connect with quality services and receive the support that they need consistently. We are committed to providing a reliable and regular service, turning up when we agree to provide a service. We do the job to the best of our ability. We believe in communication, keeping our clients informed, as we partner together in maintaining and creating outdoor spaces for connecting with nature.
We seek to alleviate the burden of maintaining gardens and lawned areas around the home for people living with a disability and the aged.
We understand the distress that no longer being able to care for your garden and lawns can cause and we are committed to being part of the solution.
Our service area is within a 25km radius of Kalamunda (up to 30 mins drive).
We are offering the following garden maintenance services:
- Lawn Mowing and Edging
- Pruning
- Weeding
- Potting and Replanting
- Other Treatments: Fertilising and Spraying Weeds
- Garden Tidy Ups
Where we do a garden clean up, we can by pre-arrangement dispose of any garden waste for a service fee. We will negotiate with the client how they would like to manage garden waste.
Supporting Disabled Workers
Our goal for our disabled workers is to see the person beyond the disability, supporting them in employment to build their capacity and financial independence. We understand that people living with disabilities sometimes have episodes of not being well, but that doesn’t mean that they can’t stay in employment. It is our belief that with love, understanding and kindness, we can change lives as we progress together.
